Sky is a very large oval shaped pendant lamp installed in the lobby of the hotel Meliá Barcelona Sky, iconic building designed by French architect Dominique Perrault. The oval structure measures 13 x 7 meters made of stainless steel which 1080 aluminum tubes 2.27 meters high are suspended. Lighting is by optical fiber. At the lower end of each tube, a reflective concave part fastened inside the fiber tip end irradiating light uniformly and homogeneously. The 1080 points of light are fed with only four generators 50W LED getting a constant light output and extremely simple maintenance. It is a very versatile type of luminaire and applicable to multiple environments and situations allowing different configurations, shapes, finishes and sizes according to the requirements of each project. This composition of light is one of the first and pleasing visual impressions received by hotel guests. It is an element of great singularity and provides a very attractive and enveloping feeling of space.
