Simplicity of form, like aesthetic and design practicality, is what sets the second Estensioni line apart: objects as happily essential domestic presences, each with its own determined identity, which are able to communicate amongst themselves in an original manner.
Estensioni#2 features three different components: Gemina, a circular suspended luminaire; Engioi, a multifunction trolley-bar; and Hip-hop, a pair of complementary tables of different heights.
This collection comes from the synergy between designers Lucio Curcio and Luca Binaglia, featuring a fresh, unconventional design language which combines functionality and contemporary aesthetics.
Estensioni is the collection which marks Car-Met’s first stage in the creation of Formae, Laura and Simone Tramonti’s key step in reinterpreting all the artisan skill of their father Gennaro in the structural metalwork sector in a new, broader and more contemporary enterprise.
This collection therefore represents an extension – hence the name – which involves consolidated skills in new ideas and images, in which the objects themselves are called on to be part of the change.
Estensioni features four different lines from designers Lucio Curcio and Luca Binaglia, Valerio Paula Ciampicacigli, Anna Mercurio and the brand’s artistic director, Leonardo Fortino. Each is based on the analysis and renewal of simple geometric forms to create home accessories designed as functional domestic presences which define an essential and colourful aesthetic universe.
