Placido Day-Bed is a sectional 3 seater leather sofa.
The simplicity of the lines and the modularity make it easily adapt to many types of environment and makes it suitable for any situation, while maintaining the soul of a modern sofa.
Its lines follow the softness of the real feather with which it is padded. The comfort, convenience and ergonomics of this Day-Bed sofa are incomparable, thanks to its very deep maxi seat and the comfortable and generous padded armrests.
Placido Day-Bed is designed for those who want to have a very spacious and informal sofa, where they can freely relax and fall asleep.
The depth of 130 cm and the 65 cm high backrest are designed to balance the comfort and design of the sofa, which is very proportionate in its shapes.
The solid wood frame and the phenolic plywood panels guarantee flexibility and durability over time. The spring system has been designed with drop-in springs and two different densities of polyurethane foam, all covered with a natural goose down duvet to obtain maximum comfort and the right resilience. Finally the covering can be made of many types of leathers or fabrics of excellent quality.
The fine details, such as the open lip seams, or single or double needle seams, underline the attention to detail and the craftsmanship of the product.
The wide range of coverings, which includes removable eco-sustainable stain-resistant fabrics and various types of leather with dozens of colors available, allows for total customization of the product.
Designed by the architects Marco and Giulio Mantellassi and officially presented at the 2017 edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Tribeca Collection celebrates Mantellassi 1926's passion for furniture and craftsmanship, getting inspired by the aesthetics of the 60s and 70s and of the industrial style. Moved by a long period of travel and research around the world, the Mantellassi twins offer vintage-style sofas, chairs and lamps that combine precious and natural materials with the best upholstery, finishes and color combinations.
