Стілець Alias IKO SOFT STUDIO / 06C

On the occasion of the Milan Furniture Show 2018, from the on-going collaboration between French designer Patrick Norguet and Alias, comes iko, a family of seats that gives tangible shape to the evolution of a program that started in 2012 with the kobi collection.‎
The salient element of the project is a smooth, curved shell, characterised by a strong diagonal sign on the sides, and made from a compact, structural plastic material.‎ Connected to the shell is a tubular steel belt, which, besides serving as a mount for various structures, exalts the design of the armchair.‎
The shell is proposed in two main variants: “naked”, in a plastic material painted various colours, with the possibility to accommodate a fabric or leather upholstered cushion for the seat, and “soft”, in a plastic material co-formed with PU foam and covered with fabric or leather.‎
Iko lends itself to multiple uses, whether at home or in a professional setting.‎
The versatility of the collection is exalted by combining the shell with different structures: four legs, in steel or solid wood, or a three-legged base with casters.‎
A rich choice of colours, materials and finishes makes iko both versatile and unique.‎
Patrick Norguet’s elegant and bold gesture in identifying a diagonal tension makes this piece, though it belongs to a seat type in widespread use, into an original and highly recognisable creation.‎
