VALENTINA, designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco for GAN, the indoor brand belonging to GANDIABLASCO, is a collection inspired by the embroidery of haute couture that references classic couture dress making, reinterpreted and hand made by the craftsmen and women of India using the traditional chain-stitching method.
VALENTINA SPACE is a rug of rounded embroidered edges and metalwork motifs that decorates spaces with natural beige, crimson and charcoal grey colour tones, bringing together craft and un-conventional design.
Then the rug acquires volume and becomes the VALENTINA lounge chair in the simplest of ways: two overstuffed cushions with hemmed edges are supported within a light ‘but resilient’ powder-coated metal structure: the ingenuity of an armchair minus the legs, reduced to its minimal expression with hand made seating that can be added or removed.
The collection is available in different sizes and colours; 170x260 cm for the rug and 75x95x70 cm for the
armchair, both in beige, crimson an the recently added charcoal grey colour.
